A Note from a Donor
Ginger and I have been part of Student Venture for over five years now, and are privileged to join in such a strategic ministry – bringing God’s truth into the cauldron of teenage life. While our family had been directly impacted by a Student Venture event – our daughter participating in a life-changing national conference as a high school freshman in Louisiana in 1994 – we did not begin to support Student Venture until several years later when we met a Student Venture missionary through a family in our church small group after moving to Atlanta. The following year we attended a “getaway” where we learned the full scope of the ministry, and our hearts were seized with both the imperative and the opportunity to act. Having had a considerable amount of intense business activity in New York City, our hearts were drawn that year to adopt Leadership High in Lower Manhattan (interestingly, right next door to the World Trade Center). And despite being in the midst of starting up a new company, we decided to answer what we knew was a call to give. Since then, we have been able to broaden our support to other parts of the ministry at both a national and local level, and God has provided generously.
